Quay Voices are a mixed voice group for anyone aged 13-18, singing lots of different styles of music suitable for lots of different voices.
We meet in a welcoming and inclusive space every Saturday afternoon at The Glasshouse.
Each week will feature singing arrangements for high, low and changing voices, with everyone from newcomers to Grade 8+ singers finding new challenges and ways to build confidence at your own pace.
During rehearsals you will find tips about good vocal technique, stylistic performance practice, and some of the theory and language involved in singing and making music. There will be opportunities to create your own arrangements, compositions, and to explore leading a group yourself.
Across the term you will find some amazing musicians to work alongside, other groups to collaborate with and chances to perform in the brilliant spaces of The Glasshouse. We’re really excited to form part of the choir for Home Alone with Royal Northern Sinfonia this coming Christmas.
Join us at any point during the term – we’re always excited to meet new people and hear their voice!
