Booking Tickets

Good times ahead

In the mood for a concert or gig? Ready to join a class? Livestream from your sofa? Whatever you’re looking for, grab your spot in whichever way is easiest for you.

Go online

You can book tickets for all our classes and performances (both in-person and online) here on our website. If it’s your first time, we’ll get you to create an account – that way you can keep and manage all your bookings, details, and preferences in one place.

Give us a call

Our ticket team are around to help from 12-8pm, Wednesday-Saturday and 12-5pm on Sundays. You can reach us on 0191 443 4661.

You can also email us on boxoffice@theglasshouseicm.org

Stop by our ticket office

You can find our ticket team over by the West entrance (the side of the venue closest to the Tyne Bridge) and we’re around from 12pm every day the building’s open. (Check our Opening Times if you want to know when that will be.)

We don’t do smoke signals or carrier pigeons, but if all else fails you can always write to us at: Box Office, The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, St. Mary’s Square, Gateshead Quays, NE8 2JR.

How our tickets work

When you book – whether it’s for a gig, a concert, or a class – you’ll get an email pretty much straight away with your e-ticket(s) attached. Then when you come you can either print it out and bring it with you, or show us on your phone.

Just make sure you keep it on you in the venue so you can come and go without any hassle. And if you’ve got a concession ticket make sure you’ve got ID to hand.

The small print

When you buy a ticket there’s lots of important legal stuff that we’re both agreeing to – like how your ticket can be used, things you can and can’t do while you’re with us, what everyone’s rights are, etc. If you want the full run down, you can read our Terms and Conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve booked for a group – can I forward people’s e-tickets to them so they can show their own on the day?

If you’ve booked more than one ticket, they’ll all come attached to the one email. So if you just forward the email, no one will know which ticket is theirs! And each ticket’s got a barcode that can only be scanned once – so when it’s been used to let one person in, it can’t be used again.

So the best thing to do is take a screenshot of each individual ticket and send one to every person. Or just plan to meet up before you go in, so you can show everyone’s tickets together. (And grab a drink too. Smart.)

I’d really like a printed ticket – can I get one?

We generally use e-tickets because they’re quicker, easier, and better for the planet. But if you don’t have a smartphone or a printer at home, then of course we’ll get you sorted with a paper ticket. Just give our ticket team a call on 0191 443 4661 and we’ll print it for you. Then you can either pick it up at the ticket office when you get here (no charge), or we’ll post it out to you (at a cost of £1.50 to cover postage and packing).

I’m all booked, but I haven’t had an e-ticket – how do I sort that?

First, check your junk/spam folders – tickets seem to like lurking in there. (The e-ticket email will be from noreply@theglasshouseicm.org). But if you can’t find it, don’t worry. Log in to your account and you’ll be able to download your ticket(s) from there. Any issues after that, give our ticket team a call on 0191 443 4661.

Oops, I’ve deleted/lost my e-ticket email – now what?

Log in to your account and you’ll be able to download your ticket(s) from there. If you can’t, give our ticket team a call on 0191 443 4661.
